In order to promote cooperation between the Liepaja branch of the One Stop Shop and the involved parties, the Society Integration Foundation held an opening event where representatives of various sectors – non governmental organizations, local government institutions, university representatives, local entrepreneurs and others gathered to learn more about the activities of the One Stop Shop, as well as to build a more close knit collaboration. During the event, a public discussion “What should we do so that foreigners (immigrants) are not a threat to our current way of life?” was also held. It can be concluded that the society as a whole should become more open, see the benefits of the migrant influx and boost an attitude that allows foreigners to integrate into our culture and everyday life.

In the newly opened Liepaja branch of the One Stop Shop of the Society Integration Foundation, within a month and a half 90 individual consultations have been provided to citizens of third countries. The majority of clients prefer to receive consultations in person at Rožu Street 6, Liepaja. Clients are served at the premises of the Liepaja City Council on Mondays from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Phone numbers for inquiries and consulting are +37122811020 and +37129570364. Meanwhile, in the main office in Riga the number of individual consultations provided per month is gradually increasing (an average of 200 consultations are provided per month). The One Stop Shop’s services are provided by the Society Integration Foundation within the framework of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund’s project (Agreement No. PMIF/13.1./2022/1/01). The funding has been allocated by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (75%) and Latvian State budget (25%).
